a Non-Profit Initiative Born out of a Shared Love for Music
In 2024, two of my friends decided to finally bring their long-time dream to life: creating their own music event and offering an alternative to the established club culture in our area. That’s how GUT TON was born.
In late summer 2024, the first event took place under the GUT TON name - still as a private gathering (and therefore considered unofficial within the team). Unfortunately, this led to some serious issues, which made it clear that the whole thing needed to be done professionally, publicly, and legally. That also meant reorganizing everything from the ground up and, inevitably, establishing a proper media presence.
Toward the end of 2024, those same friends asked me to join the team as the media lead - and I happily agreed. We were a team of five: the other four handled project management, event organization, and finances, while I took care of the media side of things.
While I was a part of it, the following official GUT TON events had taken place:
- GUT TON S25, 28 June 2025 (approx. 300 visitors)
- GUT TON W25, 8 November 2025 (approx. 250 visitors)

My Part in THIS (& why it wasn't Desired)
Since day one, I’ve been solely responsible for everything related to graphic design, motion design, social media, and essentially all other media-related tasks at GUT TON. I developed the entire visual identity and overall presence of the brand - not just visually. Social media is so much more than posting a nice picture or a well-shot video. Without the right strategy, communication, and marketing, even the most technically perfect video falls flat.
Sadly, not everyone in the team could agree on that and often times my expertise was turned down. I don't want to dive into to the topic too much but some members posed a problem on a deeper personal level even tough I tried to always keep it professional. This lead to me leaving the team in February 2026.

THE IDEA & THE RESULTS
The original idea behind GUT TON was, to offer a new experience in our vicinty. It wanted to present itself as a authentic, approachable and fun event. Nearly everyone in our team was inexperienced but also everyone brought his experience and ideas into it. No one had a clue, what we were doing, really - but we just did and we knew that we could achieve big.
The Instagram Account was supposed to be my personal playground - a space where I could experiment, try new creative techniques, and even take on event-related responsibilities outside my usual role. For example, I discovered clay stop-motion during this project and made it the signature look of GUT TON S25
Admittedly, that lead to a very incoherent visual identity at first. Since then it only solidated itself towards a more clean and corporate looking uniformity (and in my opinion GUT TON kind of lost his uniqueness and identity).
GUT TON has helped me grow tremendously in social media management and content creation nonetheless. On this page, you can see a selection of my best work for GUT TON.
